As part of Ensign Ranches and eventually Aspen Meadows Ranch, Dave helped manage a large cattle and horse operation, with over 6,000 mother cows grazing on approximately 180,000 acres of our private land plus an additional 600,000 acres of BLM land.  We also operated a world class hunting operation with significant planning and management based on professional biology.  With our ranch partners, we have personally preserved 13,000 acres in three separate conservation easement transactions, some strictly donations with others involving significant investments by conservation partners.  In addition, Dave was both a board member and President of Utah Open Lands for a number of years and spent almost 12 years on the Utah Quality Growth Commission (appointed by the Governor) and chaired the Critical Lands Committee.  We have a unique expertise in operations and transactions involving large scale ranches and recreation land.  Plus we have extensive experience in planning and implementing development concepts on both large and small scale properties ranging from 36,000 acres to less than one acre.
